Who We Are

The Secure Resilient Future Foundation (SRFF) is a diverse group of professionals devoted to building a brighter future. SRFF members lend us their voice and expertise as we work to educate the public, executives, policymakers and others about the dangers and damages caused by the prevailing corporate culture of “security through obscurity,” and the importance of building technology that is transparent, resilient and secure. Below, you can find a list of members who have given us permission to publish their name.

SRFF is a non-profit, 501 c4 corporation the affairs of which are managed by our 10 person Board of Directors. The current Board of Directors are:

Paul is a respected cybersecurity journalist and Editor in Chief at The Security Ledger. Since 2018 he has spearheaded efforts to organize the information security community to support a right to repair as founder of the group Secure Repairs.

Lodrina Cherne is a champion for security in the digital forensics and cybersecurity industries. She is a Certified Instructor at the SANS Institute and an Aspen Tech Policy Hub Fellow.

Jack is a professional with deep experience in the nonprofit sector. He is co-editor of Fight To Repair Newsletter, a leading publication tracking the battle for a right to repair.

John is the founder of RDKL Inc. (pronounced “Roadkill Inc.”, a company that repairs and refurbishes laptops. John is a repair activist who has been interviewed by major publications on the topics of repair, refurbishing, small business, and antitrust issues.

Elizabeth manages internal sustainability projects at iFixit and
is a leading advocate for the right to repair. She has testified at state houses around the country in support of bills create a legal right to repair.

Dan Geer

Dan is the CISO at In-Q-Tel and a renowned expert in computer security and risk management. Dan is recognized for ground-breaking work on the economics of security and his (early) warnings of emergent cyber risks such as software monocultures.

Nathan is an experienced advocate for social change who serves as the Director for US PIRG’s Right to Repair campaign.

Tarah is a strategic technical security leader and executive who is the CEO of Red Queen Dynamics, and a Senior Fellow for Global Cyber Policy at the Council on Foreign Relations.

A seminal figure in cybersecurity, Chris is the co-founder and CTO of Veracode and a renowned entrepreneur, advisor and investor. Chris is a pioneer in the area of application security. At Veracode, Chris heads the company’s security research, product security, information security and compliance teams.
